ENIS MALIK DURAN
The contradictions and dilemmas of the human-nature relationship are at the center of Enis Malik Duran's art practice from a post-humanist perspective. In Duran's works, the anomaly situation of man in nature is shaped through the landscape. Duran, who usually includes areas after human interventions, focuses on what civilization has left behind in his landscapes. He confronts the anthropocentric approach while examining the images he constructed as metaphors of power and culture, as well as his subjects such as meta-geography and politicized topography. The production practices that support the background of the strong atmospheres in his works and the conceptual framework of his narrative by using different mediums serve the atmosphere setup that determines the first effect of the painting. This attitude, which determines the general characteristics of his works, aims to trigger the sense of this age in which we live.
Continuing his studies in his workshop in Istanbul, Duran also continues his academic career.
